2008

On 18 April, CCA purchased the iconic
Coca-Cola sign in Kings Cross, Sydney.  The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC) has leased the sign since it was built in 1976.  CCA and TCCC will maintain the current leasing arrangements.

On 8 February, CCA announces that Pacific Beverages, its joint venture alcoholic beverages company with SABMiller, will build a boutique premium brewery at Warnervale in the Central Coast region of New South Wales.  The brewery, with a capacity of 50 million litres (500,000 hectolitres) is expected to be completed in 2010.

On 29 January, CCA successfully completes its $170 million off-market share buy-back.  A total of 21.7 million shares were bought back at a price of $7.84.  Due to the positive tender response, a scale back of 60.38% was applied.

  

 

2007

On 5 December, CCA announces that its 50:50 alcohol joint venture company with SABMiller plc, Pacific Beverages, has acquired 100% of the issued shares of Bluetongue Brewery Pty Ltd.  Bluetongue Brewery was launched in November 2003 and operates from an established boutique brewery in Cameron Park, near Newcastle, New South Wales.

24 October and CCA completes the sale of the South Korean business to LG Household & Health Care Ltd.  The total sale proceeds, including net debt, received by CCA for the business are $520 million.

 

 

 

2006

On 8 November 2006, CCA entered into an exclusive agreement through its joint venture company Pacific Beverages, to sell and distribute the premium spirits portfolio of global premium spirits distributor Maxxium, which includes brands such as ABSOLUT VODKA, Jim Beam and Remy Martin.

CCA also entered into an exclusive agreement with Maxxium shareholder Beam Global spirits and Wine Australia to manufacture its alcoholic ready to drink (ARTD) beverages, including Jim Beam & Cola.

On 2 November, SPC Ardmona's new $15 million National Distribution Centre in Shepparton opened.

On 10 August 2006, CCA announced a 50:50 joint venture with SABMiller plc, one of the world's leading brewers, to sell and distribute imported premium beer in Australia.  The venture will be known as Pacific Beverages Pty Ltd, and will initally import SABMiller's premium international premium beer brands, Peroni Nastro Azzurro, Miller Genuine Draft and Pilsner Urquell.

 

2005

On 9 August 2005, CCA purchased the business and assets of Grinders Coffee.

On 25 February 2005, CCA formally completed the acquisition of SPC Ardmona. SPC Ardmona is Australia’s largest producer of packaged fruit and operates 6 principal brands across the processed fruit, vegetables, jams and sauces markets.  These brands are SPC, Ardmona, Goulburn Valley, IXL, Southern Cross and Taylor’s.

On 28 January 2005, CCA purchased the Northern Territory soft drink sales, distribution and production assets from Parmalat Australia.  This acquisition makes CCA the sole licensee of Coca-Cola products in Australia.

2004

On 23 November 2004, CCA acquired Quirk's Refrigeration (Quirk's).  The Quirk's business is predominantly the rental and servicing of commercial refrigeration equipment to major food and beverage manufacturers for use in hotels, bottle shops, the route trade and cafes.

On 3 November 2004, CCA finalised the purchase of the Crusta Fruit Juices Pty Ltd in Australia and its subsidary company Quenchy Crusta Sales, a cold chain distribution company.

On 11 June 2004, CCA opened a state of the art, automated materials handling facility in Mentone, Victoria.  The facility was built at a cost of approximately $30 million and is expected to generate annual savings of $7 million.

2003

On the 29th April, CCA announced the acquisition of Neverfail Springwater Limited. Neverfail specialises in the delivery of bulk water to Australian  homes and offices.

CCA acquired the assets of Peats Ridge Springs on the 18th July. Peats Ridge has  over 20% of the bulk packaged water  segment which has increased CCA's water bottling capacity by over 50%.

2002

Acquisition of Rio Beverages in New Zealand increases CCA’s exposure in the important juice and lifestyle beverages segments in New Zealand and Australia.


Pacific Beverages (PBA) acquired. PBA’s business is the manufacture, marketing and distribution of fruit juices, cordials and other beverages from a single manufacturing and warehouse facility in Victoria, Australia.


The sale of CCA’s PET manufacturing assets for approximately $157 million reflects the company’s core focus on manufacturing, distribution and  sale of non-alcoholic       ready-to-drink beverages.

On 27 April 2001 Coca-Cola Bottlers Philippines Inc. was sold to The Coca-Cola Company and San Miguel Corporation.

Coca-Cola Amatil continues to be the largest bottler of non-alcoholic beverages in the  Asia Pacific Region.

The Olympic Games are staged in Sydney,  with The Coca-Cola Company, the longest serving Olympic sponsor, a Team Millennium Olympic Partner.

As part of a major restructure to the South Korean operations the manufacturing, warehouse and sales centres at Yeo-ju,  Kwang-ju and Yangsan are expanded and fully refurbished.

Coca-Cola Amatil demerges its European operations to create a new separate       publicly-listed company, Coca-Cola Beverages, declaring that it intends to focus on the development of its Asia-Pacific businesses.

Bottling operations in South Korea,             Coca-Cola Korea Bottling Co., are acquired from The Coca-Cola Company. A new production facility is opened in Bacolod City, Philippines.

CCA, through an exchange of shares, acquires the operations of Coca-Cola Bottlers  Philippines Inc from San Miguel Corporation and The Coca-Cola Company.

The largest Coca-Cola manufacturing facility  in Indonesia is opened at Cibitung, on the outskirts of Jakarta.

CCA announces that its Indonesian operations have been restructured with CCA having 90% ownership and the Pan Java Group holding the remaining 10%.

the Indonesian Tirtalina Group and the Indonesian Pan Java Group.
