BUSINESS ACTIVITIES

CCA is the principal Coca-Cola licensee in Indonesia.

Products of The Coca-Cola Company were introduced to Indonesia in 1927, with local production commencing in Jakarta in 1932. In the first year of production approximately 10,000 cases were sold with the help of only three trucks and 25 employees. In 1970 PT Djaya Beverage Bottling Company (DBBC) was formed by local and Japanese shareholders to service the Jakarta/West Java region.

Coca-Cola Amatil acquired 49% equity in PT Coca-Cola Tirtalina Bottling Company and PT Coca-Cola Pan Java Bottling Company in 1991 and then in the following year acquired a 90% interest in PT Djaya Beverage Bottling Company. In 1995 CCA acquired the remaining shares in DBBC and PT Coca-Cola Tirtalina Bottling Company and a 90% interest in the Pan Java group. The merged operations serve all of Indonesia with the exception of North Sulawesi.
