BUSINESS ACTIVITIES
CCA is the sole Coca-Cola franchisee in South Korea.
Coca-Cola was first introduced to South Korea in 1951 and then re-entered the market in 1966 when the Coca-Cola Company awarded Doosan Beverages the right to bottle and distribute Coca-Cola products throughout South Korea. By 1973 there were four independent bottlers. In 1998 Coca-Cola Amatil acquired 100% ownership of The Coca-Cola Company's bottling operations in the country, the newly formed Coca-Cola Korea Bottling Company, Ltd. (CCKBC).
CCKBC is the leading beverage company in South Korea and as a foreign investor, CCA is one of the largest in South Korea.
