Coca-Cola was first introduced to Fiji in 1944 and began being locally produced in 1972. In 1988 Amatil beverages acquired the Coca-Cola franchise in Fiji and in 1995 opened a new manufacturing facility based in Laucala Bay, Suva. The state of the art production plant is the largest soft drink operation in the Pacific Islands and was built to cater for local demand and also to service the neighbouring island of Tonga.

CCA is the sole Coca-Cola and Schweppes licensee in Fiji and now has the majority share of the soft drinks market. CCA Fiji employs approximately 300 people.
