Coca-Cola was introduced to South Korea in the early 1950’s and was first locally produced in 1968. The Coca-Cola Company awarded Doosan Beverages the right to bottle and distribute Coca-Cola products throughout South Korea. By 1973, there were four independent bottlers in the country.

On August 6th 1998, CCA acquired 100% ownership of the Company’s bottling operations in South Korea from the TCCC group and formed the Coca-Cola Korea Bottling Company, Ltd (CCKBC).

Today CCA is the sole Coca-Cola licence holder in South Korea and is the leading beverage company in South Korea with Coca-Cola brand products holding a 59% share of carbonated soft drinks sales. Currently there are 3 plants in South Korea, employing over 2,600 people.
