CCA New Zealand is involved in many community and activity programs throughout the country from smaller grass roots community sport and activities to national community programs. In recognition of the importance of exercise in our everyday lives, CCA New Zealand supports a variety of activity and sporting programs across the country.
NEW ZEALAND CITIZENSHIP PROGRAMMES
Go Kids! Fitness Program
In partnership with the National Association of Out of School Care and Recreation (OSCAR), a national physical fitness program is currently being developed. When the program is implemented it will reach around 75,000 New Zealand children over the first 12 months.
A qualified fitness co-ordinator has been appointed to design a modular exercise program appropriate for running in 500 out of school care centres (after school and during school holidays) around the country. This program aims to raise the level of fitness amongst New Zealand’s youth.
Coca-Cola Careers Expo
The Coca-Cola Careers Expo is an annual event which provides key information to students about career opportunities, education paths and training. The Expos are held in three main centres across New Zealand and are attended by more than 50,000 secondary school students each year. The Careers Expo has become a key place for young people to explore potential careers, study paths and training programs available to them.
Coca-Cola Christmas in the Park
2003 is the 10th anniversary of Coca-Cola’s Christmas in the Park. Each Christmas a quarter of a million Aucklanders and up to 150,000 people from Christchurch attend the event. Each year CCA partners with a charity. This year CCA has partnered with Youthline who provide a youth counselling and development service to the youth of New Zealand.
