Paradise Beverages showing safety leadership

Coca-Cola Amatil's Paradise Beverages business is leading the way when it comes to safety, with a new Safety Vision outlining its commitment to providing a zero harm culture for all employees.

Coca-Cola Amatil's Paradise Beverages business is leading the way when it comes to safety, with a new Safety Vision outlining its commitment to providing a zero harm culture for all employees.

The initiative follows last week's Safety Leadership day and coincides with the introduction of the first official Safety Week, which kicks off on Monday (October 26) to encourage engagement across the wider Paradise Beverages teams in Fiji and Samoa.

The program for the week includes a range of activities and educational sessions to promote and protect the physical and mental wellbeing of all Paradise Beverages employees.

Said Paradise Beverages' General Manager Tony Scanlan, "I am delighted and proud of the program the team has organised for Safety Week and of the way this is cleverly captured in our new Safety Vision."

The Safety Vision sets out the company's commitment to achieving zero harm for all employees by walking the talk and creating an environment and culture where safety is seen as value. It was officially unveiled to employees at a 'Pinktober' charity morning tea earlier today (Friday).

Safety Week kicks off on Monday (October 26) and features three daily 'Get Moving' exercise classes, as well as mental health and healthy eating workshops and seminars, featuring local experts. All employees will also receive a take-home wellbeing pack to support their ongoing learning.

"As we are of our brands, we're also very proud of our people and our strong safety culture," Mr Scanlan added. "Earlier this year we won a national OHS award and celebrated one year LTI (lost time injury) free at the Suva Brewery and three years at the distillery.

"Our Safety Vision and Safety Week initiatives cover both physical and mental wellbeing. They are part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining our health and safety focus and providing all our staff with the best possible working environment."
