Internationally award-winning Rum Co. of Fiji has been recognised at the 2020 New York International Spirits Competition with its premium rum brand, Bati, winning Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.

Bati Rum was competing with 1,200 products from more than 30 countries where real trade buyers in the liquor industry judged the best of the best.

Bati 2-Year-Old Spiced Rum won Gold, Bati 2-Year-Old Dark Rum took Silver and Bati 2-Year-Old White Rum won a Bronze medal. Each of these rums were competing in the ‘up to 8 year’ categories in the international spirits competition; which is further testament to the quality and taste of these premium rums on the world stage.

General Manager, Paradise Beverages, Mike Spencer, is proud to receive these acknowledgements especially for his hardworking team in Fiji.

“This is wonderful recognition for all our people involved in the making of these exceptional rums. These incredible wins serve to amplify Paradise Beverage’s vision of proudly sharing and exporting local Fijian beverages to the world,” said Spencer.

Head of International Alcohol, Heath Baker, was enthusiastic over positive sales of Bati in the US, saying, “These latest wins are a part of the growing interest in our award-winning Rum Co. of Fiji portfolio in the United States. We are already seeing great success in California through our distribution partnership with Young’s Market Company, and we plan to continue to build on this success and expand across North America.”

Brand Manager, International Alcohol, Lucy Dodgson, knows how important consumer advocacy is and is pleased that they’re seeing the quality on offer.

“We are excited that consumers around the world are starting to uncover the quality and craftmanship of Fijian rum through our Rum Co. of Fiji portfolio. These awards strengthen our vision of putting Fiji on the world map as an exceptional and credible Rum producing nation,” Dodgson said.
