Coca-Cola Amatil recognises the important role our suppliers play in our success. We work closely with thousands of suppliers, big and small, to continually improve performance and strive for mutual growth.
We manage our suppliers within a simple framework called “Partner for Growth”. The framework segments our entire supply base and allows us to invest the necessary time and effort with our suppliers.
In order to support smaller suppliers, Coca-Cola Amatil has a Small Supplier Policy.
Established in 2018 in response to Amatil’s voluntary commitment to the Business Council of Australia’s (BCA) Australian Supplier Payment Code, the Policy allows eligible suppliers (who meet our small supplier criteria) to participate in our Small Supplier Payment Programme, providing suppliers with 30 day terms.
Because we have a diverse range of partners, we don’t always know the size of each supplier. Accordingly, we need small suppliers to 'opt-in' to the Programme by completing an application form with an accompanying statutory declaration. Where we undertake formal tendering processes we also include details of our supplier webpage in our Request For Proposal (RFP) documents.
Amatil is continually exploring ways to improve how we engage with our suppliers. This includes what we can do to help drive greater adoption of our Small Supplier Payment Programme, such as increasing awareness and further simplifying the implementation process.
Amatil also supports initiatives that would allow for improved industry practice in working with small suppliers.
