Coca-ColaAmatil.co.id Named As One of the Best Multinational Company Website

Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia’s (CCAI) website, www.coca-colaamatil.co.id, was nominated as one of the best multinational companies website by Beritasatu.com Multinational Corporation Web Awards 2014.

Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia’s (CCAI) website, www.coca-colaamatil.co.id, was nominated as one of the best multinational companies website by Beritasatu.com Multinational Corporation Web Awards 2014. Among other multinational companies websites in Indonesia, Board of Judges Noke Kiroyan (CEO and Chief Consultant Kiroyan Partners), Toto sugiri (founder of Data Center Infrastructure Indonesia), Jose Sabater (Technical Advisor to Deloitte Consulting), Nila Marita (public relations practitioner), Primus Dorimulu (Editor in Chief Beritasatu.com), and Pingkan Irwin (Head of Digital Media Strategy Beritasatu.com), chose 163 websites as candidates. These 163 website were considered to meet the three criteria set by the Board of Judges: A branch owned by foreign companies operating in Indonesia or joint venture companies with majority foreign-owned shares. Website was intended for Indonesian market. Lastly, companies utilize the website as a means of communication and transactions.
 
From initial selection, Board of Judges passed 117 websites which were then divided into 7 industries: mining and oil and gas, banking, insurance, electronics and communications, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods, and automotive. These 117 websites were then assessed based on six criteria, which are: content (40%), interactivity (20%), accessibility (20%), navigation (10%), aesthetics (5%), and actualization (5%). From these criteria, they chose 5 nominees for each industries, and www.coca-colaamatil.co.id was named as one of the nominees for the best Website Multinational Corporation 2014 to representing consumer goods industry.
 
Noke Kiroyan, Chairman of the Board of Judges, stressed the importance of a transparent communication between company and its customers. One way to do it is through the website. "The message contained in the website should be well designed to be easily accepted by Indonesian society. Moreover, the presence of multinational companies in Indonesia should also be beneficial, particularly in employment," he said. The winners of this award generally have a communicative and interactive content, including company profile, multimedia facilities, as well as easily accessible from a variety of devices and operating systems. Board of Judges also sees corporate social responsibility (CSR) content in a website as a good sign, showing a positive contribution to community development that has been done by the company.
