Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia Allocates US$63 million for Capacity Building Acceleration in East Java

To accelerate capacity building in East Java and its surrounding areas, Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) today held a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming Mega Distribution Center (Mega DC).

To accelerate capacity building in East Java and its surrounding areas, Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) today held a groundbreaking ceremony for the upcoming Mega Distribution Center (Mega DC). It also launched its 6th production line in Surabaya. Both facilities further fulfilling the US$500 million investment commitment over the coming 3 to 4 years to Indonesia that was announced earlier this year.
 
The launch events were attended by President Director of CCAI Kadir Gunduz, Executive Vice President of TCCC Ahmet C Bozer, Director of Beverage and Tobacco Directorate General of Agro Industry Indonesian Ministry of Industry Faiz Achmad, Deputy Chairman of National Investment Board Agency Azhar Lubis and the Assistant of Economic and Development, Provincial Government of East Java Hadi Prasetyo. The ceremonies represent US$63 million investment in this region.
 
Said President Director CCAI Kadir Gunduz, “Indonesia is the second biggest contributor to the Coca-Cola Amatil Group and we are confident there are more opportunities to leverage. Many regions in Indonesia, including East Java, are experiencing rapid growth, and our commitment to invest enables us to cater the growing market demand. The Mega DC in Alba and the new production line at CCAI Pandaan plant represents US$63 million investment in the region.”
