Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia Receives Padmamitra Award 2016

Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia rewarded Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia (CCAI) with Padmamitra Award 2016 as a token of appreciation by the government to companies that have contributed in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the field of social welfare. The award was given directly by the Minister of Social Affairs, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, to the Director of Public Affairs & Communications of CCAI, Lucia Karina, in National Social Solidarity Day in 2016, at the Palangkaraya Mayor's Office on Monday (19/12).

Coca-Cola Amatil Indonesia deemed worthy to get the Padmamitra Award 2016 for the category of Poverty thanks to its superior CSR program that is Hutan Asuh Coca-Cola  and Desa Mandiri Lestari in East Java province. On Hutan Asuh Coca-Cola program, CCAI together with Organic Farmers Group manage the forests on the slopes of Arjuna Mountain into productive lands with organic agroforestry systems to maintain the ecosystem from damage and illegal logging, as well as maintain the availability of water resources.

Desa Lestari Mandiri is an educational program intended for the organic farming group of housewives around the CCAI plant in Pandaan, East Java. The program is expected to contribute to the growth and development of economic independence, healthy lifestyles, as well as care-participation-conscious environment.
