We partner with our communities to deliver a shared benefit from our presence

In each of the countries in which we operate, we contribute directly and also with our partner, The Coca-Cola Company, to the economic and social development of local communities and the people who live there. The contribution to these communities is through both our day-to-day business activities and also through a wide range of philanthropic contributions and community programs.

In 2014, Coca-Cola Australia provided $6 million for active healthy living, wellbeing and environmental programs, supporting local communities nationwide. In 2014, we provided support for initiatives including:

  • Charitable organisations and programs
  • Community grants
  • Sponsorship of local, national and international sports teams and events
  • Workplace giving

New Zealand

In New Zealand we work closely with the communities in which we operate and are committed to investing in programs that make a tangible difference. We focus on the three key areas of wellbeing, the environment and inspiring youth.

An accredited Rainbow Tick organisation, we were the first Coca-Cola bottler in the world to be represented by our employees in a LGBTQI community Pride parade.

Coca-Cola Amatil New Zealand also holds the position of Chair of The Packaging Forum, an Industry Association responsible for the Government owned Love NZ brand that educates and funds recycling and waste infrastructure across the country.

In Fiji we are the principle sponsor, and organiser, of the Coca-Cola Games, which inspire more than 50,000 secondary school students to get active and compete each year.  We also provide significant financial support to several major sports and events, including: Fiji Rugby Union; Netball Fiji; Coke Zero Deans Rugby; Basketball Fiji; Fiji Golf Open and the Vodafone Hibiscus Festival.

We have also invested heavily in the 'Mission Pacific' program which drives positive recycling behaviour across the island, for the betterment of the environment. We have encouraged fellow manufacturers to sign up to our responsible marketing to children policy and invest in initiatives that promote active healthy living and education on beverage nutrition and energy balance.

At CCAI, we apply four key pillars as a parameter to guide our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) & Sustainability programs harmoniously. These pillars include:

  • Protecting and preserving the environment
  • Providing assistance to develop economic opportunities
  • Maintaining positive culture and values among our workforce
  • Contributing to the social development of communities in areas where we operate.

CSR is part of everything we do  at CCAI, as such it is a consideration in every business decision. Supporting the community, developing our workplace, building capability in the marketplace and being environmentally responsible is simply just good business. It provides a valuable return for today, but importantly a sustainable business model for the future.
