The Grocery team at Coca-Cola Amatil New Zealand (CCANZ) have donated $8,000 to Camp Quality, this years selected recipient of donations raised through The Grocery Charity Ball.

Each year, an ‘up-and-coming’ or new charity is selected as the recipient of funds raised through the annual ball and its attendees.

Camp Quality is a volunteer led, non-profit charitable trust committed to enhancing the quality of life for children (aged 5-16 years) living with cancer by encouraging fun, hope and happiness. The trust was established in 1983 with the first camp held in 1985, and camps held annually since for nearly 30 years. The charity provides free year-round support to families and also holds family days, reunions, mini-camps and other social outings.

The Grocery Charity Ball, now in its 11th consecutive year, has raised over $2.5 million for a host of charities across the country. Held by Foodstuffs, Progressive Enterprises and the New Zealand Food and Grocery Council, the event this year has  helped to raise over $252,000 for Camp Quality.

Chairman of the charity, Gary Troup, has remarked “Camp Quality is absolutely delighted with the support received from the 2014 Grocery Charity Ball, it will be a huge boost for the Camp Quality children and their families.”
