This year, Magners Irish Cider served thousands of festival-goers over four days at Taste of Auckland, sampling and selling the cider ‘over ice’ across the full range of flavours; apple, pear and berry.
Recently, Auckland’s Western Springs Stadium played host to the Taste of Auckland food and wine festival. The annual event is a highlight on the social calendar for foodies, chef-enthusiasts and restaurant-lovers alike.
This year, Magners Irish Cider served thousands of festival-goers over the four days, sampling and selling the cider ‘over ice’ across the full range of flavours; apple, pear and berry.
Magners is a traditional Irish Cider, crafted from a blend of several varieties of fresh apples, or pears, and matured for 6-24 months in vats close to the orchard of Ireland’s Tipperary countryside.
“Taking Magners to Taste this year was a great way to introduce the brand to a wide variety of foodies, bar and restaurant staff, and a lot of people who haven’t had the chance to try it before” said Tim Jordan, Senior Brand Manager for Alcohol. “We were lucky to be able to provide them not only with some delicious Magners cider, but also somewhere to sit and enjoy all the great music.”
The Irish cider brand was a key festival partner, sponsoring the Magners Irish Bandstand; an integral part of the festival experience as described by the event’s organisers.
Both live bands and DJ’s were carefully curated by Taste’s musical director Peter Urlich, with attendees treated to sounds from The Babyshakes featuring Sal Valentine, Clazzmatic Boogie Orchestra, Twistin’ The Swing, and The Hipstamatics. The bandstand was positioned directly in line with the Magners stall and plenty of outdoor seating, providing the perfect locate for an afternoon or evening cider.
Not the only brand represented by Coca-Cola Amatil NZ (CCANZ) at the event, French beer brand Kronenbourg 1664 was the alcohol sponsor of the lounge area reserved for VIP ticket holders.
