So whilst the weather is turning grey and cold, the team from Countdown made the call to brighten someone's day. The winner was Cameron Russell who hails from Oamaru and purchased his Coke Life from his local Countdown store. When informed he was the winner, his exact words were "Holy Crap!" so we're pretty confident that he was happy he stopped for a Coke Life that day.
When asked what he thought he might do with his win, Cameron had this to say "I recently bought my first house, and it needs a little work to make it perfect. The money i have won will go towards the renovations on the kitchen and bathroom."
Harry Ellis, Key Account Manager for Progressive said "it is great to be able to partner with Countdown to run a promotion like this to accompany such a huge launch. It not only allowed us to talk to & excite consumers but also enabled the Grocery Field Team to go over and above with their in store execution making sure Coke Life was front and centre in all Countdown stores. The launch of Coke Life was world class and it has now settled in nicely under the Coca-Cola Trademark in the New Zealand market."
Cameron is one of those rare and great winners, so happy to share his win and thrilled to pieces. He's always been a Coke fan and says that he has added Coke Life to his fridge on a permanent basis now.
"I have been a massive fan of Coke since I was young, I would use the money I earned from mowing lawns to stock up the fridge, I am 24 now and aside from my job, not much has changed." His favourite flavour or trademark Coke? "Original is best followed by Vanilla and then Citrus (would be great to see citrus again) Last year I got into losing some weight and with the help of Coke Zero managed to drop 20kg's, I now keep even stock of original and Life in my fridge to keep my sugar intake lower (everything in moderation). It is great that Coke life is sweetened naturally."
The competition ran in Countdown supermarkets across the country for 4 weeks & there were a total of 32,477 entries
