Our team is delighted to recognize that we won the Supreme Award at the White Camellia Awards 2015 in recognition of its efforts to promote gender equality through living the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles to which CCANZ are a signatory along with 45 other large New Zealand organizations.

The Awards night is jointly organised by the UN Women National Committee New Zealand, the Equal Employment Opportunity Trust, Business and Professional Women New Zealand and the Human Rights Commission. The Awards acknowledge companies that have made the most progress in implementing the Women’s Empowerment Principles, and seek to empower women in the workplace, a goal that CCANZ have been committed to since signing the principles in 2011.

CCANZ was recognised in particular for implementing Principle 7 on Transparency, Measurement and Reporting, but then was overall best performer in all of the 7 principles culminating in the Supreme Award.

Louise Upston, National MP for Taupo tweeted "Congratulations to @CokeAmatilNZ for their supreme award at the White Camellia Awards, celebrating the @UN_Women Empowerment Principles"

Martin King, General Manager of Human Resources here at CCANZ said “he was absolutely delighted to receive the award on behalf of the business for the work that so many have been involved in making CCANZ a leader when it comes to Diversity and Inclusion, not just for gender, but all forms of difference and ensuring the workplace better reflects the diverse communities we operate in.”

The award also acts as an encouragement for continuing to invest further in making CCANZ the best place to work in New Zealand.
