Helping The Halberg Disability Sport Foundation

The Equipment Services (EQS) team at CCA NZ put their money and bodies on the line for a great cause.

For the second year in a row, the Equipment Services (EQS) team put their money and bodies on the line to go the extra mile for those with disabilities at the annual Halberg Tri Challenge. Entering four teams, they spent the morning riding, striding and rowing their way to raising funds for the foundation. Under the guidance of Neil Miller, all teams put their best foot forward and achieved some great results - for themselves and the Foundation.

Brent Ford was on the winning CCA Team (Team Latte) and the top CCA cycling competitor on the day. In his twenty minutes of cycling he travelled 13.9KMs besting his distance from previous years.

The foundation was established by former Olympic champion Sir Murray Halberg in 1963. Over 50 years later the mission remains the same – to enhance the lives of physically disabled New Zealanders by enabling them to participate in sport and recreation.

Along with other individuals, community groups and corporates, the EQS teams helped to contribute to over $31,000 raised!
