Delighted consumers

We promise to delight consumers by bottling their favourite brands, providing choice and information across an unrivalled portfolio for everyone, everywhere, every day and making a positive contribution to our communities.

Water only in primary and intermediate schools

We only sell bottled water to primary and intermediate schools and we don’t directly sell sugar-sweetened soft drinks or energy drinks to secondary schools. This is part of an industry-wide commitment from the NZ Beverage Council which represents the manufacturers, suppliers and distributors of New Zealand’s juice, carbonated drink and bottled water brands.

The water-only policy builds on an earlier Voluntary Schools Agreement between Coca-Cola Amatil NZ, Frucor and the Ministries of Education and Health, signed in 2006, to not directly sell sugar-sweetened carbonated beverages and energy drinks to any New Zealand school.

Helping Kiwis consume less sugar

Some key actions we have undertaken include:

  • Launching new products with no or reduced sugar, such as Coca-Cola No Sugar, Coca-Cola Stevia No Sugar, Keri 50% Less Sugar Fruit Drink and Barista Bros Mocha.
  • Increasing our range of small packs (300mL or less) in more locations, such as convenience stores, petrol stations and supermarkets.
  • Providing transparent information about our products, such as the Health Star Rating integrated energy icon on our packs, energy information panels on our vending machines, an online beverage comparison tool and serves-per-pack labelling on our multi-serve bottles.
  • We have a target to reduce sugar across our portfolio by 10% by 2020
